FolderColor
Change the color of any folder in Windows with a simple right-click.
Installation
Using the Installer (Recommended)

Download and run
FolderColorSetup-1.1.0.exe - Follow the setup wizard — the context menu is registered automatically
Manual Install

Extract
FolderColor.zipto a permanent location (e.g.,C:\Program Files\FolderColor) -
Double-click
FolderColor.batto open the settings window - Click Install to add FolderColor to your right-click menu
Usage
- Right-click any folder in Windows Explorer
- Select Change Folder Color
- Pick a color from the palette — the window closes automatically once the color is applied
To restore a folder to its default appearance, select Reset to Default from the color palette.
Uninstalling

Open FolderColor settings (double-click
FolderColor.bat) - Click Uninstall to remove from the right-click menu
- Delete the FolderColor folder

Requirements
- Windows 10 or 11
- PowerShell 5.1 or later (included with Windows)
Troubleshooting
“Change Folder Color” doesn’t appear in right-click menu
- Make sure you ran Install from the settings window
- Try restarting Windows Explorer or logging out and back in
Colors don’t show up on folders
- Refresh the folder view (press F5)
- Some folder views may need a moment to update the icon cache
